• Lyca’s deals are link-tracked, not code-based. The 50% referral discount is attached by the link itself the moment the order page loads — the official terms require the referred customer to start the purchase from the unique link. No typed code replicates that.
• Coupon sites re-label codeless deals. That “50% off code” is usually Lyca’s own intro price, or the referral offer, dressed up as a coupon. Click through and there’s nothing to type — which is also why the “code” can’t be applied anywhere.

• It’s a SIM-only offer. All SIM-only plan types qualify — it is not a handset discount, and it’s aimed at new customers, not upgrades on an existing account.
• Your referrer’s reward depends on you staying. The reward qualifies after you stay on the plan for 2 consecutive bill cycles (PAYG and 1-month plans) or 1 bill cycle (12- and 24-month contracts), and you must activate and start using the SIM in that window. Cancel or refund inside it and the reward is lost.
• No published “cooldown” rule. Some blogs claim you must have been away from Lyca for 90 days to count as a new customer. The actual T&Cs contain no such rule — the requirement is simply a new SIM and qualifying plan bought through the link.
• The referrer’s side, briefly. Whoever shares the link must be an active Lyca customer when the reward falls due, and earns tiered cash of up to £65 per successful referral (up to £55 for 12-month plans, up to £50 for 1-month or PAYG), capped at five referrals. Deals you’ll still see advertised around the web that no longer exist:

• The 30-day free trial SIM — ended. Lyca ran a free trial, and its own blog post about it now carries an expiry disclaimer, but coupon pages keep listing it. No code brings it back.
